![]() I'm using a 9700k, 3080ti with latest studio drivers, Windows 10, I upgraded from Vegas Movie Studio 17 Plat to Vegas 19 (I'm a dumbass for that) it's not pirated and of course I've googled the issue, I don't think anyone's first thing they do when a problem occurs is to open a reddit thread. How can a company charge 250 dollars for this? AVC, it just freezes before crossfades ALWAYS. I have had nothing but freezes no matter the types of files that I've inputted, the framerates I've chosen, the bitrate I'm rendering in, HVEC vs. I'm so torn on why that would even be happening. My freezes while rendering are happening the exact frame before crossfades. What I have figured out because of the 19 upgrade, is that it does not fix the issues but is easier to pinpoint them on. "After multiple weeks of failed renders since switching recording formats, I've finally upgraded to 19 just because Steam had such a good deal on the upgrade and I was wondering if the upgrade would fix the render issues. Just shop around, demo what you can or watch some tutorials on YT to get a feel for how it operates, and ultimately go with what works best for your content! If a $20 or free video suite can do what you need it to, the extra features you get with the industry standard $50-75/mo option aren't worth the added cost.I'm going to copy paste a reddit thread I started on the r/VegasPro thread as it's not getting as much attention there as it would have here. ![]() It's all subjective, and another great option is also DaVinci Resolve, which is a 100% fully featured video editing suite for free. YMMV, but I actually liked Vegas' interface more and it had some quality of life features that I preferred not in Premiere (being able to loop a clip just by extending the length as opposed to marking it as a loop in the media bin was a biggie for me for example, but that's just personal taste.) I've used Premiere almost exclusively until I saw this deal and picked up Vegas (Premiere is included with my school, but once I graduate it's gone, so wanted a legal but inexpensive option), and I can say they're fairly comparable. ![]()
